YORK has been a Johnson Controls brand since 2005, and the combination produces a distinctive footprint in Phoenix: Sunline and Predator rooftops on schools, municipal buildings and offices where JCI's Metasys building automation is also installed; YORK centrifugal and screw chillers in hospitals and campus plants; Affinity water-source heat pumps in office loops; and, increasingly, Hitachi VRF systems sold through the JCI channel. The JCI connection matters in practice. A YORK rooftop on a Phoenix school is likely to be running a Simplicity or Smart Equipment unit controller and reporting to a Metasys or Facility Explorer system, and the controls are as much a part of the service call as the compressor. YORK Rooftop Families
Sunline is the light commercial packaged family and the one we encounter most: small offices, retail, classroom wings. Predator covers the larger packaged range. MagnaDRY units add dedicated dehumidification, which matters less in Phoenix than in humid markets but appears on buildings with specific latent loads. Eco2 and Millennium are earlier generations; Millennium in particular is a common nameplate on Phoenix buildings from the 1990s and early 2000s, and it is at or past the end of its design life.
YORK's Simplicity controls and the newer Smart Equipment platform give these units fault logging and BACnet communication. Older Millennium units run on simpler board controls, and their diagnostics are done with a meter rather than a display.
Phoenix Wear Patterns
Compressors, capacitors, contactors and condenser fan motors carry the heat load on YORK rooftops as on every other brand. Economizer assemblies and their actuators fail in place. On Sunline 2000 and Millennium units, cabinet corrosion, heat exchanger condition and R-22 refrigerant define the replacement conversation. On newer Sunline and Predator equipment, the fault log is where diagnosis begins, and a sensor or control-board issue is as common as a mechanical one.

We repair YORK equipment with genuine and equivalent parts, quote replacements on the existing curb where a new unit is the right answer, and retrofit controls and drives where the mechanical equipment has life. Is YORK the same company as Johnson Controls?
YORK is a brand owned by Johnson Controls, which acquired York International in 2005. YORK equipment is commonly installed alongside JCI's Metasys building automation, and we service both.
Our school has Millennium rooftops from the early 2000s. Can they be repaired?
Usually, but the question is whether they should be. Millennium units are past their design life, most run R-22, and cabinet and heat-exchanger condition often decide the matter. We assess each unit and recommend a phased replacement plan where that is the sound answer.
Is Bleuwave a YORK dealer?
