Powers Regulator built pneumatic controls in Illinois for decades before becoming Landis & Gyr Powers and then, in 1998, part of Siemens Building Technologies — the origin of the APOGEE lineage. Powers pneumatic thermostats, actuators and receiver-controllers still operate in Phoenix hospitals, universities, government buildings and offices from the 1960s through the 1990s, and Landis & Gyr Powers System 600 DDC survives in a few.
