Tower Tech Cooling Tower Service in Phoenix, AZ

A counterflow tower with the fans on the bottom and the basin closed off from the sun. An unconventional design with specific service needs.

Tower Tech builds modular counterflow cooling towers with an unconventional arrangement: fans mounted at the bottom pushing air up through the fill, and an enclosed cold-water basin that keeps sunlight — and much of the airborne debris — out of the water. The design targets the biological and fouling problems that plague open basins, and it has found a place on Phoenix commercial and institutional plants. Bleuwave services Tower Tech equipment as an independent contractor, without dealer affiliation or factory authorization.

The design changes the service program. Bottom-mounted fans are accessible from grade or the roof without climbing the tower, which is a maintenance advantage; the enclosed basin reduces algae and debris but still concentrates minerals and still needs treatment; and the fill and distribution system have their own inspection points.

Tower Tech Design and Application

Modular counterflow cells with forced-draft fans at the base, enclosed basins, rotary spray distribution and film fill, assembled in multiples for larger plants. The design is marketed on reduced water use, reduced biological growth and easier fan access, and it appears on Phoenix chiller plants and process systems whose owners valued those characteristics.

Service in Phoenix

Scale on fill and distribution components remains the chronic issue in Phoenix water; the rotary distribution system has its own wear items; bottom-mounted fan motors and drives are exposed to dust at grade level; basin and make-up systems need inspection; and water chemistry needs continuous management. We inspect fill, distribution, fans, drives, basin, valves and water chemistry, measure approach, and repair with genuine and equivalent parts. Replacement and expansion proceed by module.

Straight Answers

Questions About Tower Tech Equipment

Does the enclosed basin eliminate the need for water treatment?

No. It reduces biological growth and debris, but evaporation still concentrates Phoenix's dissolved minerals, and scale control through bleed-off and treatment remains essential.

Is Bleuwave a Tower Tech representative?

No. We service Tower Tech equipment as an independent contractor without dealer affiliation or factory authorization.
