Krueger VAV Box & Diffuser Service in Phoenix, AZ

Titus's sibling in the Air Distribution Technologies family, on the same ceilings and with the same service story.

Krueger builds VAV terminals, diffusers, grilles and registers in Texas as part of Air Distribution Technologies under Johnson Controls — the same group as Titus — and its equipment is above the ceilings of Phoenix offices, schools, hospitals and government buildings alongside its sibling's. Bleuwave services Krueger equipment as an independent contractor, without dealer affiliation or factory authorization.

A Krueger box carries the same anatomy as any VAV terminal — damper, flow sensor, controller, sometimes a fan and reheat — and the same Phoenix service story: hot plenums, dusty sensors, idle reheat and aging controls, diagnosed at the box and corrected in the controls layer.

Krueger Terminals and Air Distribution

Single-duct, dual-duct and fan-powered VAV terminals with controllers from building automation platforms or pneumatic actuators in older buildings; diffusers, grilles and registers that deliver the air. Because the group shares engineering, parts and procedures overlap substantially with Titus.

The Complaint You Can Hear

Krueger's diffusers and grilles are where a VAV system's problems become audible. A diffuser that whistles is a damper upstream throttled hard against static pressure that is set too high for the current load. A diffuser that dumps cold air on a desk instead of throwing it across the ceiling is a box delivering far below its design airflow — a drifted flow sensor, a damper that will not open, or a supply-air temperature colder than the diffuser was selected for. A grille that rattles is a loose face or a duct connection working itself free. Each of these is a symptom of something upstream, and each is diagnosed by measuring what the diffuser is actually delivering against what it was selected to deliver.

Service in Phoenix

The Phoenix plenum is hot and dusty, and Krueger terminals in it age accordingly: actuators lose torque, controllers and their power supplies fail from thermal stress, flow sensors read low as dust accumulates in their ports, and reheat coils that see no hot water from March to November surprise everyone in December. On fan-powered boxes, the plenum air the fan mixes in is warmer than the design assumed, which changes heating performance in ways a sequence written for a national standard does not anticipate.

We measure airflow at the box and at the diffuser, verify the controller's reading against the measurement, stroke the damper, test reheat and correct what we find — actuator, sensor, controller, valve or fan motor — with genuine and equivalent parts. Where a building has accumulated years of individual adjustments, test-and-balance and DDC conversion restore the system as a whole, coordinated with the building automation practice.
