MS, ASP and MagLev
MS Series modules are water-cooled scroll chillers stacked on common chilled- and condenser-water headers. ASP modules are air-cooled scroll units for outdoor installation. MagLev modules use oil-free magnetic-bearing centrifugal compressors for high part-load efficiency. A master controller sequences the modules, staging them to load and rotating duty for even wear, and communicates with building automation.

Air-cooled ASP modules face condenser fouling and high-ambient stress; water-cooled MS modules depend on tower and water-treatment performance, and their brazed-plate heat exchangers are sensitive to water quality and strainer condition. Individual module faults — compressor, valve, sensor, board — are common in older plants and easy to ignore because the plant keeps running. Master-controller sequencing and staging faults reduce efficiency without any single alarm. We assess every module, verify heat-exchanger condition and water quality, repair or replace modules with genuine and equivalent parts, and review sequencing with the building automation practice.
